Lisbon

It is the first city and capital to be visited in Portugal. Istanbul and Lisbon are two very similar cities. In addition to having two sides like Istanbul, it is a city built in Lisbon on seven hills. It hosts many cultures by hosting people from almost every nationality.

If you want to visit Lisbon in detail, I recommend you to spend at least two days in Lisbon. It is a very big city, so it has a lot of places to see. With its colorful streets, enormous urban trams that can reach even the smallest and ramp, Lisbon is truly a beautiful city.

For those who intend to come to Lisbon from Guimarães or Braga, the most alternative way is by intercity buses. You are considered young in many places up to 26 years old and you can benefit from various discounts. This journey is more costly by plane or train. I bought the bus ticket for Lisbon on the internet. You can also have the opportunity to see many parts of Portugal during the Journey.

If you are in Porto, it may make more sense to use the airline, but I can say that the bus is more advantageous in terms of cost.

Sintra, which is about 20 km from Lisbon, is definitely a place to go and see. You can find the necessary information at the end of the article.

Places to Visit in Lisbon

Praça do Comércio

You can start your trips by accepting this square as the center. There are various cafes, souvenirs and places to sit by the sea in the square. The yellow structure on the back has been used as a palace for many years and after it was greatly damaged by the earthquake in 1755, it was restored and reached its current appearance.

There is also a statue in front of this square where you can sit and take pictures during the day, but it is flooded at night.

Belém Tower

The tower was built in memory of the Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama in the early 16th century. It is one of the most known symbols of the city of Lisbon. In addition, the name of the region where the tower is located is Belém. This region is home to many historical monuments and structures. Belém Tower was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1983 along with the Jerónimos Monastery. This monastery is also located in the Belém Region. Its construction took a century and cost 70 kg of gold each year. It is one of the interesting information I encountered when I searched on the internet. :)

You can easily reach the tower by using the trams on the square I mentioned above.

Padrão dos Descobrimentos(Monument to the Discoveries)

It is a monument in memory of geographical discoveries. The monument was built on the banks of the Tejo River, where ships sailed in unknown directions in the 15th and 16th centuries. Among the 30 important people on both sides of the monument are statues of the following names.

• Prince Henry (Supporter of Geographical Discoveries)
• Vasco da Gama (Sailor who discovered the Indian route)
• Pedro Álvares Cabral (Brazil's explorer)
• Ferdinand Magellan (Sailor on the first world tour)
• Diogo Cão (First explorer to reach the Congo River)
• Bartolomeu Dias (sailor who crossed the Cape of Good Hope)

Sintra 

Sintra is one of the municipalities of the Lisbon Region. The city, which takes its name from the surrounding Sintra Mountains, is about 40 minutes by train from Lisbon city center. If you have decided to visit Lisbon, I would definitely recommend you to visit Pena Palace and Cabo da Roca in this region.

Pena Palace

The most important thing that makes this palace, located on a hill of the Sintra Mountains, is definitely its colorful structure. It has a great atmosphere with the park around it.

I do not remember the full entrance fee of the palace, but after visiting the palace, I definitely recommend you to visit the park around the palace.

Cabo da Roca

The most liked place in Lisbon and Portugal is Cabo da Roca. Apart from being the westernmost of Europe, it has no other property but has a wonderful view and atmosphere. In fact, neither palaces, churches, or cathedrals attracted my attention so much. I realized that History, Architecture and Art do not have much importance for me against Nature.

Lizbon

Portekiz'de kesinlikle gezilmesi gereken ilk şehir ve başkenttir. Türkiye için İstanbul ne ise Portekiz için Lizbon odur. İstanbul gibi iki yakaya sahip olmasının yanı sıra, Lizbon da yedi tepe üzerine kurulmuş bir şehirdir. Hemen hemen her milletten insanı barındırmasıyla birçok kültüre ev sahipliği yapar. 

Lizbon'u etraflıca gezmek istiyorsanız en az iki günü gözden çıkarmanızı tavsiye ediyorum. Oldukça büyük bir şehir, bu sebepten çok fazla görülmesi gereken yer barındırıyor. Renkli sokaklarıyla, en küçük ve rampa olan yere bile ulaşabilen muazzam şehir içi tramvayları ile Lizbon gerçekten güzel bir şehir. 

Lizbon'a Guimarães'den ya da Braga'dan gelmeyi düşünenler için en alternatif yol, şehir dışı otobüsleridir. 26 yaşa kadar bir çok yerde genç sayılıyorsunuz ve çeşitli indirimlerden faydalanabiliyorsunuz. Uçak ya da Tren ile bu yolculuk daha maliyetli olmaktadır. Ben Lizbon için otobüs biletini internet üzerinden gidiş geliş şeklinde satın almıştım. Yolculuk boyunca Portekiz'in bir çok yerini de görme fırsatı yakalayabilirsiniz. 

Eğer Porto'da bulunuyorsanız hava yolunu kullanmanız daha mantıklı olabilir ancak maliyet açısından otobüsün daha avantajlı olduğunu söyleyebilirim. 

Lizbon'dan yaklaşık 20 km uzaklıkta bulunan Sintra ise kesinlikle gidilmesi ve görülmesi gereken bir yer. Yazının sonlarına doğru gerekli bilgiyi bulabilirsiniz. 

Lizbon'da Gezilmesi Gereken Yerler

Praça do Comércio

Bu meydanı merkez olarak kabul ederek gezilerinize başlayabilirsiniz. Meydanda çeşitli kafeler, hediyelikler ve deniz kenarında oturabileceğiniz yerler bulunmaktadır. Arkada görünen sarı yapı çok uzun yıllar boyunca saray olarak kullanılmış olup 1755 yılında yaşanan deprem ile büyük ölçüde zarar gördükten sonra restore edilerek bugünkü haline ulaşmıştır. 

Bu meydanın hemen ön tarafında gündüzleri oturabileceğiniz ve fotoğraf çektirebileceğiniz ancak geceleri sular altında kalan bir heykel de bulunmaktadır. 

Belém Kulesi

Kule 16. yüzyılın başlarında Portekizli kâşif Vasco de Gama anısına yapılmıştır. Lizbon şehrinin en bilinen sembollerinden bir tanesidir. Ayrıca kulenin bulunduğu bölgenin adı Belém'dir. Bu bölge birçok tarihi esere ve yapıya ev sahipliği yapar. Belém Kulesi, 1983 yılında UNESCO tarafından Jerónimos Manastırı ile birlikte Dünya Miras Listesi'ne alınmıştır. Bu manastır yukarıda bahsettiğim Belém Bölgesinde yer almaktadır. İnşası yüzyıl sürmüş ve her yıl 70 kg altına mal olmuştur. İnternette araştırdığımda karşılaştığım ilginç bilgilerdendir. :)

Kuleye yukarıda bahsettiğim meydan üzerinde bulunan tramvayları kullanarak rahatlıkla ulaşabilirsiniz. 

Padrão dos Descobrimentos(Keşifler Anıtı)

Coğrafi keşiflerin anısına yapılmış bir anıttır. Anıt gemilerin 15 ve 16. yüzyıllarda bilinmeyen yönlere sefere çıktığı Tejo Nehri kıyısına yapılmıştır. Anıtın iki tarafında 30 tane önemli kişi arasında şu isimlerin heykelleri vardır:

• Prens Henry (Coğrafi keşifler'in destekcisi)
• Vasco da Gama (Hint rotasını keşfeden denizci)
• Pedro Álvares Cabral (Brezilya'nın kaşifi)
• Ferdinand Magellan (İlk dünya turuna çıkan denizci)

Lizbon Şehir Merkezi yukarıda bahsetmiş olduğum yerlerden çok daha güzellikte yapı ve eser barındırmaktadır. 

Sintra Bölgesi

Sintra Lizbon Bölgesi'ne bağlı belediyelerden birisidir. Adını kendisini çevreleyen Sintra Dağları’ndan alan kent Lizbon şehir merkezinden tren ile  yaklaşık 40 dakika mesafede bulunmaktadır.  Lizbon'u gezmeye karar verdiyseniz mutlaka bu bölgede bulunan Pena Sarayı ve Roca Burnu'na uğramanızı kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. 

Pena Sarayı

Sintra Dağları'nın bir tepeciğinde yer alan bu sarayı özel kılan şey kesinlikle rengarenk yapısıdır. Çevresinde bulunan park ile birlikte harika bir atmosfere sahiptir. 

Sarayın tam olarak giriş ücretini hatırlayamıyorum ancak Saray'ı gezdikten sonra Sarayın çevresinde bulunan parkı da kesinlikle gezmenizi tavsiye ediyorum. 

Roca Burnu

Lizbon'da ve Portekiz'de en çok hoşuma giden yer Roca Burnu'dur. Avrupa'nın en batısı olma özelliğinin dışında aslında başka hiçbir özelliği yoktur ancak harika bir manzara ve atmosfere sahiptir. Aslında ne saraylar, ne kiliseler, ne katedraller burası kadar ilgimi çekmedi. Tarih, Mimari ve Sanat'ın Doğa karşısında benim için çok fazla öneminin olmadığını anladım.

Porto

One of the first two places that come to mind when you say Portugal is undoubtedly Porto. The city, which was declared as the World Capital of Culture by Unesco in 2001, is a city that I believe will meet all your expectations in terms of history, architecture and culture.

Although it is the second largest city in Portugal, it is possible to walk around the city's must-see places. You can take your city maps located around the train station and start your trip. However, if you choose the place where you will start your trip correctly, you will walk less and get less tired. If you choose the starting point of the trip as the peak, you will only go uphill once, so you will have more energy. :)

If you want to go from Guimarães, Braga, Aveiro to Porto, you can use intercity trains. (This journey from Guimarães takes about 70 minutes. The price was 3.30 Euros in January 2019.)

The most convenient means of transportation from the Porto Airport to the center is the metro. (It was 2 Euros in January 2019.) You can reach the metro directly from the lower floors of the airport. You can also stay at this Airport if you have nowhere to stay in Porto. Although it does not seem like a very important detail, I would be happy if it helps even one person.

Places to Visit in Porto

I. Luís Bridge

It is almost impossible not to come to Porto and meet this bridge. Knowing your name and a few things about it may make you feel better.

This bridge was designed by the famous architect of the Eiffel Tower, Paris Gustave Eiffel, and is a wonder of engineering. While vehicles and pedestrians pass from the bottom, the top is closed to vehicle traffic. Trams and pedestrians can cross the top.

I definitely recommend you to be at the top to see Porto and take great pictures.

I. Luís Bridge

Although this thousand-year old cathedral, which is located on the right from the center to the bridge, does not promise much from the outside, the inside of the cathedral has a truly fascinating atmosphere. When I searched a little bit on the internet, I came across those who claimed to be closed to visit, and I also came across those who stated the visiting hours and fees. Whereas, we were able to go inside at no cost and nobody asked us anything. We may have come across worship times, I cannot remember much now. I recommend those who love art, history and architecture to see it.

Livraria Lello

The author of the Harry Potter series is J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter, inspired by this bookstore (especially the staircase and library section) and the school uniform of students from Porto, during his time in Porto.

At Minho University, only those who were very close to graduation wore school uniforms with a cape. The superior-subordinate relationship at the university is taken very seriously by students. Students in these uniforms made them marry a variety of anthems, play games and even have push-ups. It was possible to hear a community yelling from somewhere in and around the university. :)

If you like reading or watching Harry Potter, you should definitely go to this bookstore. The entry fee to the bookstore was 5 Euros in October 2018. Although I have no interest in Harry Potter, I can say that the bookstore is interesting.

There are a lot of places to visit in Porto. The places I wrote were a very small part of my perspective. The last place I recommend to go is the bottom of the bridge. It is quite possible to encounter a perfect atmosphere especially at sunset.

Finally, if you are in Porto and you are a football-loving personality, I did not forget you. :) You can either be on the porto and you recently came across a match of one of your country team. I definitely want you to experience the atmosphere of Dragão Stadium. Before I went to Erasmus, I really wanted Galatasaray to be in the same group as a Portuguese team in the Champions League Draw and they took my chance to Porto. Combining the feeling I felt that day with going to the stadium will remain one of the most memorable processes of my life.

It was great that they transferred all Galatasaray Supporters to the same side for security reasons. I do not remember that we silenced for a minute for 90 minutes. When I was so far away from my country, it was a great feeling to support the team I held.

You will definitely hear how much Portuguese people love football before going to Portugal. I did not encounter the slightest disrespect for Galatasaray fans in the city before the match. The situation was no different around the stadium. I think the act of supporting can be really enjoyable when combined with respect.

Those who plan to go to such a match can go to the stadium without worrying about the ticket issue. Tickets are available from the stadium (Porto FC Museum). Of course, Porto Fans can sell the tickets on the black market much cheaper, but you will likely watch the match with Porto fans. (Except for the back-goal, you can watch the game easily wherever you want. The back-goal can be more fanatic than the marathon.) However, as I mentioned above, it is very likely that they will transfer all fans to the away tribune in the champions league matches.

The place where you can get the tickets is the museum where the star is in the photo.

Porto

Portekiz denilince akla gelen ve gezilmesi gereken ilk  iki yerden bir tanesi şüphesiz Porto'dur. 2001 yılında Unesco tarafından Dünya Kültür Başkenti ilan edilmiş olan şehir, tarihi, mimari, kültürel açıdan tüm beklentilerinizi karşılayacağına inandığım bir şehirdir.

Portekiz'in ikinci büyük şehri olmasına rağmen şehrin görülmesi gereken yerlerini yürüyerek dolaşmanız mümkündür. Tren garının çevresinde bulunan şehir haritalarından alıp gezinize başlayabilirsiniz. Ancak geziye başlayacağınız yeri doğru seçmeniz durumunda daha az yürür ve daha az yorulursunuz. Geziye başlama yerini en tepe olarak seçerseniz yalnızca bir kere yokuş çıkarsınız bundan dolayı daha çok yere enerjiniz kalır. :)

Guimarães, Braga, Aveiro'dan Porto'ya gitmek istiyorsanız şehirlerarası trenleri kullanabilirsiniz. (Guimarães'ten bu yolculuk yaklaşık 70 dakika sürmektedir. Ücreti ise Ocak 2019'da 3.30 Euro'ydu.) 

Porto Havaalanı'ndan merkeze gitmek için en uygun ulaşım aracı metrodur. (Ocak 2019'da 2 Euro'ydu.) Havaalanının alt katlarından metroya direkt ulaşabilirsiniz. Ayrıca Porto'da kalacak hiçbir yeriniz yoksa bu Havaalanında kalabilirsiniz. Çok önemli bir detay gibi görünmese de bir kişiye bile yardım etse görevini yerine getirmiş olacaktır. :)

Porto'da Gezilmesi Gereken Yerler

I. Luís Köprüsü

Porto'ya gelip bu köprüyle karşılaşmamanız neredeyse olanaksızdır. Gördüğünüzde ismini ve hakkında bir iki şey bilmek belki daha iyi hissettirebilir.

Bu köprü Eyfel Kulesi'nin ünlü mimarı Paris Gustave Eiffel tarafından tasarlanmış olup mühendislik harikasıdır ve  Kafes Sisteminin en iyi örneklerindendir. Alt tarafından araç ve yayalar geçerken, üst tarafı araç trafiğine kapalıdır. Üst tarafından tramvaylar ve yayalar geçebilmektedir. 

Porto'yu görmek için ve mükemmel fotoğraflar çekebilmek için kesinlikle üst tarafında bulunmanızı tavsiye ederim.

Merkezden köprüye giderken hemen sağda bulunan yaklaşık bin yıllık bu eski katedral dışarıdan çok bir şey vaat etmese de içerisi gerçekten büyüleyici bir atmosfere sahip. İnternette biraz araştırdığımda ziyarete kapalı olduğunu iddia edenlere de rastladım, ziyaret saatleri ve ücretlerini söyleyenlere de rastladım. Halbuki biz elimizi, kolumuzu sallayarak girmiştik içeriye ve kimse bize bir şey sormamıştı. İbadet saatlerine de denk gelmiş olabiliriz şu an pek hatırlayamıyorum. Sanatı, tarihi ve mimariyi sevenlerin mutlaka görmesini tavsiye ederim.

Harry Potter serisinin yazarı J.K. Rowling, Porto’da yaşadığı dönemde bu kitapçıdan (özellikle merdiven ve kütüphane kısmından) ve Portolu öğrencilerin pelerinli okul üniformalarından esinlenerek Harry Potter’ı yazmıştır. 

Minho Üniversitesi'nde pelerinli okul üniformalarını yalnızca mezun olmaya çok yakın kişiler giyiyordu. Üniversitede ast-üst ilişkisi öğrenciler tarafından çok ciddiye alınıyor. Bu üniformalı öğrenciler kendilerinden alt öğrencilere çeşitli marşlar söyletiyor, oyunlar oynatıyor hatta şınav bile çektirtiyorlardı. Üniversitenin içerisinde ve çevresinde sürekli bir yerlerden bir topluluğun bağırdığını duymak mümkündü. :) 

Harry Potter okumayı ya da izlemeyi seviyorsanız bu kitapçıya kesinlikle gitmelisiniz. Kitapçıya giriş ücreti 2018 Ekim ayında 5 Euro'ydu. Harry Potter'a ilgim olmamasına rağmen kitapçının ilgi çekici olduğunu söyleyebilirim. 

Porto'da gidilmesi ve görülmesi gereken çok fazla yer var. Bu yazdığım yerler benim perspektifimden olan çok küçük bir kısımdı. Mutlaka gidilmesini tavsiye ettiğim son yer köprünün alt tarafıdır. Özellikle Gün batımına doğru mükemmel bir atmosferle karşılaşmanız oldukça mümkündür. 

Son olarak Porto'da bulunuyorsanız ve futbol meraklısı bir kişilikseniz sizleri de unutmadım. :) Olur ya yolunuz düşer ve yakın tarihte temsilcilerimizden birinin maçına denk gelirsiniz. Dragão Stadyumu'nun atmosferini mutlaka ama mutlaka yaşamanızı isterim. Erasmus'a gitmeden önce Galatasaray'ın Şampiyonlar Ligi Kura'sında bir Portekiz takımı çekmesini çok istemiştim ve şansıma Porto'yu çekmişlerdi. O gün hissettiğim duyguyu stada gitmekle taçlandırmış olmak hayatımın en unutulmaz süreçlerinden bir tanesi olarak kalacaktır. 

Güvenlik sebebiyle tüm Galatasaray Taraftarlarını deplasman tribününe aktarmaları ise şahane olmuştu. 90 dakika boyunca bir dakika sustuğumuzu hatırlamıyorum. Ülkemden bu kadar uzaktayken, tuttuğum takımı desteklemek gerçekten mükemmel bir duyguydu. 

Portekiz insanının futbola ne kadar düşkün olduğunu Portekiz'e gitmeden illa bir yerlerde duyarsınız. Maçtan önce şehirde bulunan Galatasaray taraftarlarına en ufak bir saygısızlıklarına şahit olmadım. Stadyum çevresinde de durum farksızdı. Galiba kendini bir şeye yakın görüp destekleme eylemi saygı ile birleşince gerçekten keyifli olabiliyor. 

Böyle bir maça gitmeyi düşünenler bilet konusunu dert etmeden stada gidebilirler. Biletleri stadyumdan (Porto FC Müzesi) temin edebilirsiniz. Tabii, Porto Taraftarları karaborsa ile maç biletlerini çok daha ucuza satabiliyor ancak yüksek ihtimal maçı Porto taraftarları ile birlikte izlersiniz. (Kale arkası hariç dilediğiniz yerde rahatça maç izleyebilirsiniz. Kale arkası taraftarlar maratona göre daha fanatik olabilirler. ) Ancak yukarıda da belirttiğim gibi şampiyonlar ligi maçlarında güvenlik sebebiyle tüm taraftarları deplasman tribününe aktarmaları çok olası bir durum.

Aveiro

Aveiro is a portugal city that operated as an important port city until the 17th century. In the center of the city, there are various colorful houses, churches and canals. I think you will love Aveiro, especially if you go on a sunny day. You do not need to use any public transport to visit various places in the center. It is possible to go anywhere by walking or by bicycle, and a day trip will be sufficient to see the important points of the city.

You can check the hours and prices on this site. I do not know whether the ticket can be bought on the site or not, but it will be a more guaranteed option to get it from the city's train station. Because there are always people who control the ticket in the trains. Also, if you buy the tickets at the train station with a group of 8-10 friends, the prices of the tickets will drop, so bear in mind.

Outside the city center, Costa Nova, which is located near the ocean, is one of the top things to see in Aveiro. You can reach Costa Nova by bus from the city center or the train station.

In Costa Nova, there are several different and colorful fishing houses, an excellent beach and market area. As I mentioned above, if you are going to Aveiro on a sunny day, I think you will love Aveiro and especially Costa Nova.

If you see an ocean for the first time in your life, I think this excitement is quite natural for the first time. With such a marginal pose, you can immortalize that moment. :)

Aveiro

Aveiro 17. Yüzyıla kadar önemli bir liman şehri olarak faaliyet göstermiş bir portekiz şehridir.  Şehrin merkezinde rengarenk çeşitli evler, kiliseler ve kanallar yer almaktadır. Özellikle güneşli bir günde giderseniz Aveiro'yu seveceğinizi düşünüyorum. Merkezde çeşitli yerleri gezmek için herhangi bir toplu taşıma aracı kullanmanıza gerek yok. Her yere yürüyerek ya da bisiklet kullanarak gitmeniz mümkün ve ayrıca  şehrin önemli noktalarını görmek için günübirlik bir gezi yeterli olacaktır.

Aveiro Şehir Merkezi

Bu şehre Guimarães'ten, Braga'dan ve Porto'dan şehirlerarası trenlerini kullanarak ulaşabilirsiniz.

Bu siteden saatlere ve ücretlere bakabilirsiniz. Biletin site üzerinden alınıp, alınamayacağına dair bir bilgim yok ancak hangi şehirdeyseniz o şehrin tren istasyonundan almanız daha garanti bir seçenek olacaktır. Zira trenlerin içinde her zaman bileti kontrol eden insanlar bulunuyor. Ayrıca tren istasyonunda biletleri  8-10 kişilik bir arkadaş grubuyla almanız halinde, biletlerin fiyatları da düşüyor, aklınızda bulunsun.

Şehrin merkezi dışında ise okyanusun yakınlarında yer alan Costa Nova bana göre Aveiro'da mutlaka gidilmesi gerekenlerin en başında yer alıyor. Costa Nova'ya şehrin merkezinden ya da tren garından kalkan otobüslerle ulaşabilirsiniz. 

Costa Nova'da birbirinden farklı ve rengarenk çeşitli balıkçı evleri, mükemmel bir sahil ve pazar alanı yer almaktadır. Yukarıda belirttiğim gibi Aveiro'ya güneşli bir günde gidiyorsanız Aveiro'yu ve özellikle Costa Nova'yı çok seveceğinizi düşünüyorum.

Hayatınızda ilk defa bir okyanus görüyorsanız bu heyecan ilk sefer için gayet doğal diye düşünüyorum. Böyle marjinal bir poz ile o anı ölümsüzleştirebilirsiniz. :)
